Orders, proofs, payments, penalties and compensation all settle on Arbitrum. Any contract can ask whether your data is stored validly, in its own transaction. Among the 17 storage networks we surveyed, none verify storage proofs or slash providers on Arbitrum.
Each 3-day period, 256 random pieces are challenged and the provider answers with one compact zk proof: a STARK over a keccak Merkle tree, wrapped in Groth16. A first miss sends 30% of its collateral to you; a second sends all of it.
Any third of your providers can rebuild your file. The fastest third earn double. A provider that won’t serve you is challenged on-chain and must publish the bytes within 24 hours at most or take a miss. Reading your own data is free, with no limits.
Prices, collateral, penalties and compensation are all in USDG, so there is no token price risk. Network gas is paid in ETH and never goes to the protocol.
Each file gets its own key and is split into 3× redundant shards. Providers only ever see ciphertext.
